I think it says a lot about the NST's audience that this article has a 4.7 out of 5 rating on the NST website. *shudders*
johnleemk: in all fairness to Rehman Rashid, there are plenty of positive qualities in his article.
but maybe thats a post on its own?
i guess there's just too much negativity in the blogosphere that even the most remotely sounding anti-blogger comments are seen as ultra malicious
Well, of course the positive qualities are obvious, but still, it's not something I'd expect to be getting a lot of 5 stars. In particular, the article's criticism of blogging and modern technology borders on outright ludicrosity - Rehman Rashid sounds like a pale shadow of the fellow he once was.
johnleemk: i checked the column's rating today and its stated as unrated.
And on rehman rashid's criticisms on technology - to me the article was a self confession of what he is ie. a luddite! hehe
